Walking along the beach at the Seven Sisters

Beautiful day today so we caught a bus to East Dean and walked to the Seven Sisters.
The tide was coming in, but the sea was very calm and we had loads of time, so we set off along the seashore at the base of the cliffs.
The sun was beating down and the glare from the white chalk cliffs was overwhelming. The cliff is constantly eroding and we picked our way through very slippery boulders. Towards the end of the route we came across a couple of natural doorways in the rocks and a few secret caves.
After a nice break at the Cuckmere Inn we carried on along the coast and looked back to see that the tide had come in and the sea was right up to the base of the cliffs where we had been walking.
