Exciting day today as we eventually took delivery of our new home. We have taken it round to show it off to my sister and then my mum and dad and we have now driven down to see Susan and Paul in Aylesbury.
We are taking it slowly and just parking it in their driveway and then staying in their spare bedroom for a couple of days.
Obviously Darren took charge of the driving but I have had a go. We swapped drivers on the M1 as the rush hour was just getting going. Darren then switched on the sat nav and it took us on a completely different route to the one we usually take. The road got narrower and then there were sections of single track road with traffic coming the other way, and low hanging branches to worry about. I was starting to think that we might end up on a footpath or someone's front garden, and there was no way that I was going to do any reversing.
