New piano

I waited in all day yesterday for a special delivery and it didn't arrive. Fortunately it turned up today, and is now sitting happily in the living room.

My old keyboard only had five octaves and when playing it I kept running out of notes at both the top and the bottom of the scale. This one is full size, so that won't be happening any more.

It is also a huge step up, and sounds and feels much better. I am just trying to get used to it.

I can carry on murdering Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata to my hearts content, and until Darren is bored to tears with it.

Also today, our poor workmen spent another whole day in freezing temperatures building our driveway.

It is so cold that I am now making them a cup of tea every hour and a half, and each time they pass me back the empties there is a tiny amount of frozen tea in the bottom of the cup.

They are always so cheerful though and are doing a really good job.
