Runfestrun

We drove down to Bowood House in Somerset for the Runfestrun organised by Chris Evans. We put the tent up with no drama and went to collect our race packs.

All of the competitors have been put into one of four teams and we are in the ladybirds, lead by Natasha Evans, Chris's wife. The other leaders are Colin Jackson, Paula Ratcliffe and Steve Cram so slightly disappointed. Our tee-shirt is good though and we also have ladybird glasses.
There are loads of stalls, a big stage and lots of talks going on too, so we saw Colin and then Paula and I got a great photo. She is the marathon world record holder, set it more than 16 years ago and still looking amazingly fit.

Later we joined in with the Sunset Shuffle and got a first look at the house and grounds.

It got cold surprisingly quickly, but was fine in the tent although it would have been a bit more pleasant if we had remembered to take a torch.
