Royal Navy sail away

When we got back from Chichen Itza we found that the Royal Navy ship called HMS Mersey had docked back to back with us.
Every time that Oriana leaves a port there is a sail away party and we joined it just as the Village People were belting out 'In the Navy'. The ships dancers were giving it all they had got, and lots of passengers were singing along and waving to the sailors who were watching from the Mersey.
They stood to attention through the whole song. Once it had finished, they dropped onto their knees and then did an energetic Mexican wave!
The timing was perfect and we sailed away from them, and Mexico, in great spirits.
Overhead, the huge frigate birds soared around, silently taking in the strangely surreal scene.
