Wat Arun

This morning we paid 10 pence each to get a ferry across the river in Bangkok to see the Wat Arun temple.
It is a blazing white colour

and impossible to look at without sunglasses. The decorations on it are all made from china plates and bowls, some of them are still whole and others have been cut into petal shaped pieces to form beautiful flowers.
All of the signs were only in Thai so I cannot say much about it's history, but on the entry ticket were instructions on the 'formality of visiting'.
1. Please dress politely.
2. Do not climb the rail.
3. Do not dangle any doll.
I can confirm that we obeyed all of these points.
