We are in the middle of Spain, miles away from the tourist area. We staying in a campsite amongst pine trees about 10k away from a little town called La Carolina.
The sky is bright blue, the ground is still dry and brown, and it is completely silent in the forest - apart from the sound of little bells tinkling in the distance. We think are either attached to goats or cows, although we haven't seen either.
Darren went out for a run this morning and came face to face with a deer and there are lots of lovely blue feathered birds around the camp, so we are getting to see a bit of the local wildlife
Today we followed a quiet road through the forest to the town, where we had lunch that included a surprisingly large amount of sangria for surprisingly few euros.
