Long Beach

We are catching a ferry to Koh Phi Phi this afternoon, so we went for a little walk to our nearest beach on Koh Lanta.
The name says it all really - long. It is also very flat and the tide goes out a very long way.
When we came here a couple of days ago the tide was far out. Dozens of the local girls were walking along the water line collecting shells that looked similar to cockles. They had spoons and were digging at what looked like air bubbles in the sand to collect them.
I had a go digging with my fingers and was quite enthusiastic until Daz said that maybe the creatures might bite, so I decided to leave it to the experts.
