Darren has found us a lovely guesthouse in Kanchanaburi and we are staying in a cute little bungalow. There is loads of wildlife and wild chickens wander all around our garden.
Margs and Dave have gone out to spend the day either waiting for a train or sitting on it as they are exploring the area a bit better than we are.
I am sitting by the pool listening to my French language tape and have got as far as lesson six. It is getting a bit tough though but very pleased as I have never got further than lesson one on previous attempts.
Daz is sitting quietly reading, but he has just tried to empty the swimming pool by dive bombing into it.
It is very peaceful as all of the other guests are also out on trips so we have the place to ourselves.
It even overlooks the river and we have an idea that we might try tubing in it later-or maybe not.
