KL - old and new

We have moved hotels today. We were in the really modern part of KL, but we have moved about a mile away to the area called Little India. It is just around the corner from where KL was founded.
KL started as a settlement in about 1857 at the place where the river Klang and the river Gombak meet and KL means 'muddy confluence'.
There was a massive fire in 1881 and after that the traditional wooden houses were replaced with brick and tiled roofs.
Today it is real mix of old and new.
