This morning we went to the National Mosque, otherwise known as Masjid Negara.
It is set amongst the greenery of the Tun Abdul Razak Heritage Park and only about 15 minutes walk from our hotel.
I had to cover up in this lovely purple outfit along with all of the other lady visitors, but Darren was fine as he was.
It was a very peaceful and enormous place, although it was very quiet this morning.
To quote the guidebook - 'It is a unique mosque that portrays the message of Islamic progress as well as humility. It does not follow the conventional Middle Eastern mosque design of domes and arches.'
I could not put it better myself.
